During my twenties I would regularly spend my weekends attending Chakra cleansing workshops and being attuned to Reiki in the city of London.
In 2008 I decided to delve further and trained as a Special Needs Yoga Therapist with the incredible Sonia Sumar in India and really committed myself to learning as much as possible about the body and our healing processes.
This led me to receiving my diploma in Reflexology in 2011 and my Vinyasa Flow Yoga certification with Abby Hoffmann in 2013 just before the birth of my son, Sol.
I never realised how hard it would be to adapt to my new role as a mother and just how much healing would be needed.
As a new mum and in the throes of post-natal depression, I lost my anchor. I could no longer move my body the way I was accustomed to.
My support network was non-existent and I felt a deep sadness and disconnection not only to myself but to the world around me.
Thankfully Mother Nature was there to support me in the form of an incredible herbalist and aromatherapist who shared her extensive knowledge on esssential oils for anxiety and depression.
Within weeks of using these essential oil remedies, the heaviness, the brain fog and the lethargy began to lift’’
They are my support network and I take them with me everywhere that I go!
In 2018 I trained as a Womb Yoga therapist with Dr Uma Dinsmore-Tuli after years of searching for a type of Yoga that would honour the cycles and experiences that Women go through and this not only healed my own experience with a traumatic birth but opened a whole new world of possibilities within my local community. In 2020 I embarked on another journey, this time gaining my 200 hour diploma in Aromatherapy and in 2024 I finally launched Wild Atlantic Wellness!
I am blessed to live in the beautiful village of Ballydehob on the Wild Atlantic Way of West Cork with my beautiful son.
